Stephen A. Shechtel

Stephen graduated from the District of Columbia School of Law (1992) magna cum laude. He is admitted to practice before all Maryland and District of Columbia Courts, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and the United States Supreme Court. Stephen has completed training as a Child Counsel by the Maryland Judiciary Department of Family Administration. Stephen was identified by Thompson Reuters as a “Star Super Lawyer,” and holds a 10.0 Avvo rating. He has served on the Executive Committee for the Inns of Court, and as a Director of the Sobeloff Jewish Law Society, and is presently a member of the State of Maryland, Montgomery County and Frederick County Bar Associations.

Stephen was also a Maryland Certified Public Accountant (inactive), and has also held licenses as National Association of Securities Dealers Series 7 and Series 63 Registered Representative; FNMA/FHLMC/FHA/VA mortgage loan underwriter, Licensed Mortgage Broker, Licensed Insurance Agent (Health and Life), Licensed Realtor, and holds many other designations. He was a member (Associate and Barrister) of the “American Inns of Court”. Mr. Shechtel is past president of the Maryland Saltwater Sportsfishermens Association; Frederick Chapter #22 of the Maryland Saltwater Sportsfishermens Association; Clearwater Breakfast Sertoma Club, and is listed in the Director of Distinguished Americans, Marquis Who’s Who of Top Attorneys of North America, Men of Achievement, and other publications. In 1996, just four years out of DCSL, attorney Shechtel was awarded the Martindale “BV” rating.
